Public bug reported:

Since 9.11, the new splash screen (/usr/share/images/desktop-base
/grubsplash-puredyne-logo-simple.png) has a very light colored zone,
which makes it hard to read grub's menu entries when grub is set to the
default white on black color scheme.

I believe this was fixed in the grub template for make-live-device.sh
but was probably not propagated to broth (how could have them
synced/merged? Maybe make-live-device.sh should only use a grub.cfg
provided by broth).
