* to change the timeout for syslinux, prompt.cfg needs to be edited
* to change video mode, in your case it means your card doesn't
understand mode 791, so remove vga=791 from menu.cfg and it should
boot
right away in the default video mode of your card.
It would be nice to have a doc page on this, explained in details, as
probably others will have the same problems eventually.
