dock and nest are the names we used for dyne:II features to cache the
squashed filesystem and to save preferences with an unionfs overlay.

Now these features will be called differently.
dock = liveCD/DVD/HD/USB
nest = persistence

see

(work in progress, incmplete)

follow the doc to put p:d on a USB key
then create an extra partition (ext3) and call it "home-rw"

mkfs.ext3 -L "home-rw" /dev/sdb2

everything in your home (including personal preferences) will then be
saved. You need the latest leek and potato (rsync version on rsync).
Preferrably wait for alpha3 if you want to test, because the rsync
version is changing almost everyday and some builds are broken.

other modes are not available at the moment.
