Hi Julian:

i just took sometime to look a bit deepter into the cause of this bug, i have 
experimented different versions of flext and msd, and the only one that worked 
is still the old version. so i have made a update of the relevent packages 
(pd-msd, pd-flext for example), which essentially is a rollback to the older 
version. so you just need to aptitude update and upgrade, and it should work. 
as a result, pd-py is now taken off the puredyne-puredata, at least untill this 
error is corrected.
