Hola puredyners out there!

I've been using the puredyne-on-a-stick release since i got it last
thursday as my everyday machine and aptitude upgraded since.
You have done a GREAT job! Thank you!

Here I give my suggestions to see if we can make it even better:

Keyboard mapping

Is there many US keyboard users? I'm not sure if there is an
autodetection bug or a developers decision, but the keyboard map seems
wrong on my toshiba tecra m7 UK.
there is probably some simple instructions on how to change this from
the command line but i think is a basic need that needs to be
fulfilled from an easy to find GUI shortcut.

Video Capturing (Firewire DV in)

is it possible to get it working "out of the box"?
I've found kino able to capture after typing at the terminal:

sudo chown root:video /dev/raw1394

is this the right thing to do?
is it a security hazard?
can it be there by default?

Network managing

nm-applet is supposedly user friendly. may be in theory but not in my
experience.
In practice the connection experience (at least using WPA2) is long
and painful if not unsuccessful.
Right now seems to be stable but i got 3 signal level tray icons (or
whichever way you call those on xfce)
Initially i was forced to enter the same password and type of
encryption again and again (they were never saved).
why don't you change of applet or use the command line then? i tried! listen:
wicd may not be so apple-user-friendly but works better, so i had a go at it.
Dependencies trouble with no downgrading or forcing options offered by aptitude.
For sure it is nice to have the latest python, but how many other
programs cant be installed because of that? please explain me if I'm
far from the truth.

Fonts Missing

I share with many the wish of the flash tyranny to end.
I'm not sure how this works but i guess is not only related to the
pathetic non-free flash plugin.
to reproduce the missing fonts problem:

close any instances of firefox/iceweasel (this or be sure it starts
after the flash install)

At the console:

sudo aptitude update
sudo aptitude install flashplugin-nonfree

iceweasel deezer.com

you will see something is missing. I guess is some fonts in puredyne
Any solution?

I have more stuff, but lets start with this. After all, may be im
posting this in the wrong place.
I hope it isn't a problem.

Ale
