Hi Everyone.

I use Studio To Go 2.02 which is a dead (unsupported) distro. It was the
coolest thing because it just worked. Jack was running with jackdmp out of
the box. I was lost for the past year trying to find an alternative that would
be as solid but also up-to-date.

Thankfully I found PureDyne. I can finally take a deep breath. But I have one
question and/or suggestion, though I dont know if it is legal or possible:

STG 2.02 had a feature that, while Jack was running, you could click on a VST
.dll and it would open as a stand alone program. Then I could make my
connections in Jack and BAM I now had BBE in my effect chain. How great is
that!? It didnt work with all VSTs, but more worked than didnt. I know it
had to be ran on a 32 bit distro (x86).

1. Is there copyright/money requirements? The Linux God that made this
happen is Chris Cannam of Rosegarden fame (he was the main guy behind STG).
Maybe he had copyrighted the info??? I certainly would not proceed with my
question if I knew this were true.

2. Is there anyway to make vsts run in realtime as an effect anyother way?

Thanks!

Brian
