Hey Brian, I'm just a p:d user, but you need to look into wineasio: http://people.jacklab.net/edogawa/files/wineasio/ The Jacklab folks have this all sorted out pretty nicely. Also, look into dssi-vst: http://www.breakfastquay.com/dssi-vst/ Finally, I would research building Ardour with vst support.
