Well, while some people is needing pure:dyne to be installed on more recent amd64 hardware, it seems to be also welcome on old hardware as well
At http://hacklaviva.net/ (some photos can be seen at http://hacklaviva.net/foto/001-hv_boot/ ) we are trying to fix some old donated hardware, and installing Linux there - and since Hacklaviva is very focused on arts and media, and as shown on these photos, pure:dyne were tried to be installed there as well, but it shown to be very heavy on those machines... My suggestion would be a really light version of pure:dyne (i don't know how hard is it to do), being as light as PuppyLinux or TinyLinux are, and using window managers like LXDE, Fluxbox, PekWM, etc. as choices... What do you all think about? Thanks! --- [email protected] irc.goto10.org #pure:dyne
