Hi pure:dyne list.
I have a friend who runs a record company that wants to buy new linux audio
system to use for production of pro audio books read by a human voice.

The idea is to have persons in different countries produce translated books
into audio books.

I thought that using pure:dyne with ardour to record and export the book
would be quite easy to set up and get running.

I have a system with a thinkpad , rme hammerfall cardbus and multiface, with
a small behringer mic mixer and a akg microphone. He thinks that this is a
bit overkill for this purpose.

He would like the studio to be as portable as possible.

So now I ask for some 'easy to set up' hardware to install pure:dyne on with
a soundcard easily detected.
Soundcard should obviously be audio and not only midi.

For example I saw that some persons had used the eee pc for pure:dyne.

If I installed pure:dyne on the eee pc, which (semi)pro soundcard (usb)
would 'just work' with this ?
