Your mails are fine (at least here).
Seems like you're having xorg.conf issues. If i'm right, to solve it
you have to find or generate xorg.conf file related to your laptop,
read how to enable direct rendering related things on the net and put
it (in /etc/X11/xorg.conf, I believe).
If you're using liveCD or liveDVD you have to change xorg.conf after
each reboot.
Keep backups, just in case.
Sorry for not pointing everything, links, texts etc, but I'm in work
hours (and we're having huge overhaul right now).
