Yeah, sorry guys, did not have much time to document it, but it's
working perfectly in our tests (minus a few details that we need to take
care of.. you can check on bouilloncube's bug tracker)

Running it from a terminal in Puredyne should be self-explanatory
though, for example:

(~) % sudo make-live-device.sh
[sudo] password for aym3ric:
[!] make-live-device.sh allows you to turn any device into
[!] a Puredyne live medium, such as a liveUSB or liveHD.
[!] Examples:
[!] To create a liveUSB from an ISO
[!] Usage: /sbin/make-live-device.sh path/to/.iso /dev/yourdevice
[!] To create a liveHD from a running liveCD
[!] Usage: /sbin/make-live-device.sh live /dev/yourdevice

The cool stuff about this script is that you can run it from a live
medium (CD/DVD/USB/HD) to create another writable live medium (USB/HD)
either using an existing Puredyne ISO, or if you don't have it, using
the current live system you are using. The script will also make sure to
create the needed persistence partitions and use the right fs for you
etc. Can't be easier really.

You can also download the script from the broth launchpad project page
and use from, in theory, any other distros as long as you have the right
dependencies (needs documentation...). It was tested on Debian and
Ubuntu, using a standard "non-Puredyne" install and just an ISO, and
I can't see any reasons why it would not work on, say slackware, arch,
fedora, etc...

Future version should be include the possibility to take into account
(or not) any persistent modifications, and be able to create an ISO
(remix method).

We are also still struggling with USB boot on mactels, check bug report
for discussion on that matter:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/puredyne-live/+bug/508802

As always, patches, bug reports, flowers, beers are welcome :)

a.

PS: If you are the happy owner of a miso or leek and potato USB key that
you got from us, then you can update really quickly:

- get the DVD ISO
- burn and boot in the DVD
- plug the Puredyne key
- check with dmesg which /dev is your key (/dev/sdb ? /dev/sdc ?
  /dev/whatever ? be 100% sure!!!)
- then type:
  sudo /sbin/make-live-device.sh live /dev/yourdevice
