Answering to myself - it looks like I need IET iscsi provider to use ZFS over iSCSI from Linux storage (according to https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Storage:_ZFS_over_iSCSI).
Now the problem is with building iscsitarget on Linux from iscsitarget-dkms package - it looks like it won't build on my current kernel which is Linux 4.3.0-0.bpo.1-amd64 x86_64.
