hi everyone
i'm using pvfs2 version : orangefs-2.8.4 as a filesystem to dovecot in the
folowing configuration :
dovecot ---> pvfs2-1 (meta and io)
|
--> pvfs2-2 (meta and io)
it's working wonderfully and i'm about to move into production, but i've
the folowing problem with secondary groups.
/mnt/pvfs2 is the pvfs2 mount point.
if i do (as root or a user that has primary group repec)
ls -lha /mnt/pvfs2/home/grupos/
drwxrwsrwx 1 root redmine 4,0K jul 14 17:13 redmine
drwxrwx--- 1 root repec 4,0K jul 14 18:17 repec
drwxrwsrwx 1 root red 4,0K jul 14 17:33 red
ls -lha /mnt/pvfs2/home/grupos/repec
total 52K

all it's ok.
but as a user pablo wich has secondary group repec
(id pablo
uid=1001(pablo) gid=1001(pablo) grupos=1001(pablo),1092(repec))
ls /mnt/pvfs2/home/grupos/repec
ls: leyendo el directorio /mnt/pvfs2/home/grupos/repec: Argumento inválido
same user with pvfs2-ls
pvfs2-ls /mnt/pvfs2/home/grupos/repec
PVFS_sys_readdir: Invalid argument (error class: 0)
pvfs2-client.log has :
[E 19:38:26.427449] mkdir crdirent failed: Invalid argument
[E 19:38:26.428449] mkdir failed with error: Invalid argument
don't know why mkdir in the log, but it keeps apearing every time y run ls.

if i change the perms of /mnt/pvfs2/home/grupos/repec to 666 or 777 all
works ok. but with 660 or 770 the same problem.
it seems that pvfs doesn't recognise secondary groups.
i've also tested it with
PVFS2_DEBUGMASK="client,network" client-pvfs2 client-pvfs2-core
but it's lots of info. 1.2m i don't know if i can post it here.
i can't find anything in the lists.
any help?
