Hi Becky, Thanks for considering the request! We plan to have a multi-petabyte set of astronomy images archived in an S3-compatible object store and would like to dynamically pull subsets into a compute cluster running a distributed file system (preferably OrangeFS) for processing and analysis. Alluxio provides a nice free abstraction layer to link our object store and compute cluster in a highly-performant way.

"based on musl libc and busybox" says the website. Historically, when we had the occasional "Can you get this working on FreeBSD" drive-by, we'd suggest it would be a good community-support project, and then we'd never hear from that person again. MUSL libc might be in that same category, but I'll let today's maintainers make that call. ==rob _______________________________________________ Pvfs2-users mailing list [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> http://www.beowulf-underground.org/mailman/listinfo/pvfs2-users
