Alas, I've still had the problem occasionally, even with the unit
plugged into a UPS, albeit not as often.

I recently learned that the voltage tolerance on my UPS is adjustible,
so I've set it to the strictest voltage regulation it can handle --
we'll see if that helps any.

( p.s. And btw, when I thought the A/C was part of the problem, this was
because the unit didn't flip out while I was away for about a week. )
