It sounds a bit like a pity, I'm really sorry such an amount of time wasted for you _only_ for that foolish reason, more when we all already suspected that the problem was in FC4 kernel source, not in the pwc driver. Maybe the IRC could have been a good resource here, I am not an expert in Linux computing, but I think I am reasonably good at following instructions, I'd be available for that. Actually, IIRC, I don't "fight" with a kernel since RH9 (2.4.x kernel series), and I'd forgotten those kernel compilation commands.
