I've been working all weekend trying to get Comanche set up on my Mac.
Here are the problems I'm up against:
�I finally got Comanche45Swiki9 loaded (I think- can you tell by the
SystemBrowserComanche screen shot I included?- I see various Comanche
parts in the System Browser now). This was a harrowing process:
1. I got the "Process should not be redefined: Proceed to Store over
it" immediately followed by a Syntax error that I was able to proceed
through.
2. I then got a "Message Not Understood: terminate" error that I cannot
close or Proceed through.
3. However, the status bar still moves, until the end, when the debugger
pops up with a System error handling failed message.
However, from looking in the System Browser it would appear that it
loaded.
Now I cannot seem to get the Admin side of things up and running (and this
is why I want to be running Comanche rather than the old PWS (by the way,
I am able to get the PWS up and running with no problem, but I'm hesitant
(unless told otherwise) to load all the old Admin parts into a 2.7
image)).
�When I try the command (ComSwikiLauncher openAsMorph) and doIt, I get a
"MessageNotUnderstood: openAsMorph" error (see screenshot).
Is there something I'm missing? I've poured over what documentation I can
find (not much) (comanche.swiki.net won't let me view any of the Comanche
pages, which seem to be important- it tells me I do not have privileges to
see those pages) and I still cannot figure out how to get this thing
rolling. I followed the READ ME that came with the Four Strong Winds
bundle, I switched from the .zip file to the .tar.gz file after reading
that somebody had better luck with the .tar.gz version.... I'm at wit's
end!
If you don't have the time to help me, can you at least point me in the
direction of help?
