A bit of late reaction, but I had to get the answer from somebody else... We
had the same problem with a Mac FTP client. Oscar Nierstrasz wrote some
scripts that do the translation for you. The problem is in having different
character encodings:
"The problem is simply that Vicomsoft only translates the carriage returns
to line feeds (and vice versa) but does not convert between Mac character
encodings and ISO LATIN1."
If anyone is interested I can send him/her the (Python) scripts. They work
for Mac/Unix translations, but might work or be easy to adapt with NT as
well. If many are interested I can post it on the list as well.
