Since this is a VM level problem, going back to a previous version of 
ComSwiki would not help. Right now, my advise is to switch to Linux if 
you want a stable machine. Or, revert back to Win98.

BTW, I know Andreas is really busy, so the chance of NT/2000 networking 
getting better anytime soon is nearly 0.
