A Squeak-based ftp program would absolutely complement the whole
Squeak/swiki collaborative atmosphere. I've got to tell you, so many people
asked me about Squeak and swiki's at the meeting in DC. By the end of the
meeting everyone agreed that a website should be set up for all the
Universities participating in the grant so that discussions and postings
could be in one central place. What they liked the most about the system
were:

1) Both are user-friendly and you don't have to be a computer scientist or
system administrator to set it up or use it.
2) Both are free :-)
3) The swiki holds all the information for an entire organization in one
central location (automatically organized into files, because of the way
files are uploaded to the corresponding pages) which can be accessed at any
time or place and shared (via CD this time).
4) It bypasses all the bueuracracies of the system adminstrators and it is
completely accessible at all times.

With my best,
Naala
