Hi Fred,

I feel the same way. So that, I maked an enhancement to control alerts
for Swiki 1.3(HarvestMoon). 
The LessAlerts adds 'lessAlerts' registration field on each page. And,
Swiki will NOT send change-alerts to lessAlerts-addresses when 'trivial
changes' was checked. 'Normal' alerts-addresses will be received mail of
any change.

Try it!
