There is no tarball - you have to check it out from CVS:

cvs -d :pserver:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/home/cvs login
cvs -z3 -d :pserver:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/home/cvs co -r avatars msn-transport

thank you.

I've installed it and it didn't start because pool/avatars directory
didn't exist. After creating it, no problems.

It's just that people seems to see the default msn avatar (altought I
have a jabber avatar) and for my self-contact and a friend newly
added, I can't see his avatar at all. For my two other MSN contacts
(that also use the MSN gateway), I see the default MSN logo.

reply to my self : it seems that you have to disconnect/reconnect to
be able to see avatars from a newly added contact. So just add a
contact will not show you the avatar until the next reconnection. (and
I still see the default avatar for myself but that's maybe normal
because I've never used the MSN client)

That's kind of cool. And I guess if both were on Jabber and neither had
avatars, you'd have both with Jabber avatars which would hopefully prompt
them to exchange better IM addresses with each other. :-)

As for the Jabber side, you may show the icons Everaldo designed for
Kopete... Concerning what the ICQ/AIM users will see, you may use the
bulb I designed - following Everaldo style - for the MSN transport.

Please find attached a sample bulb...

This is Everaldo's ICQ icon. In the pack he distributes there's only a
64x64 sized icon. I guess he would have no problem providing the
project a bigger version (he usually contributes to free software
projects).

Finally Everaldo has a big icon for AIM, as well.

Thanks.

It should work now, could you please verify?
