Also, keep in mind that avatars are only transferred once. So if you 
already have the avatar of your friends cached, then their won't be any 
avatar transfers. However if it failed the first time (eg, because the 
person is using Gaim), then it will fail next time. That could give you 
a higher number of failures than successes.

The stats fix stops failed avatar transfers from being counted more 
than once.
