Hi Brian, In window > preferences > pydev > typing, is the 'use smart-indent' option selected? Also, which Eclipse version are you using? (there could be problems if you're not in the 3.3.xxx version -- only 3.3 is supported, so, in some places the behavior may not be backward compatible to 3.2 or earlier -- and as that's not checked, I can't exactly pinpoint where those incompatibilities could appear).
