Thanks for the reply Fabio. Unfortunately removing the 2.5 installation from the PATH environment variable, renaming the directory, and rebooting didn't resolve the problem. I searched a little more on Google and found solution. Installing the latest MS VC++ 2008 redistributable package fixed the problem.
