Both examples don't seem to work on my system. The noisy example does nothing, while the astrea example does display some graphics, but it doesn't seem to work at all, I'm assuming this is because many of the sprites are not being displayed.
I've submitted the issue. Thanks again for all of your help getting me going with my PyGTK/ PyGlet application. mark.
