The reason I set the mouse is that the mouse pointer gets out of sync with the position of the handle when I listen to drag events (inevitably because of handle limits)
I pose these questions: - If my handle hits a movement limit, what does it mean that my pointer keeps moving? - Why do I have to return to the limits of a handle in order to move the handle again when my pointer has left the limits? - What does the optical information of having a pointer add to the representation of dragging a handle? I have no satisfactory answers to these questions, which leads me to think that the premise to display a pointer when dragging a handle (which represents your pointer in data space), is detrimental to the UI. Observation of a few people showed me that they have no difficulty at all grasping my subtly changed interpretation of dragging a handle. Also I think that inherent in the handle + pointer model there's a hidden variable, the ratio of movement of the handle per movement of the pointer, which must always be 1:1. If you free yourself from the pointer, you can change that. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "pyglet-users" group.
