Tearing usually occurs when the screen is updating while the program
is writing to the frame buffer. Using batches should keep this to a
minimum because OpenGL tries it's best to stay in sync with the screen
frequency.
If you're already using batches, then I'm quite unsure how to solve
the issue without more information about your program.
