That all worked.
But I began having the non-appearing window problem discussed on this thread 
earlier.
I can fix it (OSX 10.8.2) by trashing the "org.python.python.savedState" folder 
as described there. But other than repeating that trashing each time the 
problem reappears I couldn't find anything in the thread that outlined a 
permanent solution.
Do you know anything af that?
