Hey guys, I want to start a new 2.5d game dev project, using Python, so I was looking for a decent game/graphics engine based on Python (using OpenGL). I saw the last release of PyGame is from 2009, so I was looking for a more recent alternative. So I eventually came across Pyglet, and from what I have seen so far it looks like what I was l searching for.
However, I also noticed that the last release is from mid-2012 (excl. repo of course), and apparently the official docs are not fully in sync with latest versions. So to my question: Is Pyglet still being actively maintained? I see there are some open issues, will they be fixed in some near future? Are there any open major bugs at the moment? Also, are there any plans to update the documentaiton? Please don't get me wrong, I fully understand how much time is involved to create a game engine, and I understand this cannot be done in only some spare hours every now and then. I appreciate the work you guys did very much. I would just be interested whether I can/should rely on Pyglet, since now it is the time for me to choose "the right" engine for my needs... Thanks in advance for all your feedback! Kind regards, Matthias -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "pyglet-users" group.
