Huh. Well I'm a bit demotivated now, because I'd like to use Python, but 
pyglet just doesn't seem to work and I'm nervous about continuing with it 
if I can't get even the most basic scripts to run properly.

Love2D with lua, and SFML with C++, both vsync fine. This problem occurs on 
both Windows 8.1 and Linux Mint 14, with both my GTX660M and my Intel HD 
graphics. 

I'll keep searching, but maybe it's time to call it quits on Python game 
development.
