I know this doesn't help, but I just stick to PNGs and WAVs for my own projects - thus avoiding the optional AVBin dependency. If I'm dreaming, I would love to see a pure python Ogg Vorbis or FLAC decoder for pyglet. These would not likely be performance enough to work as Streaming SoundSources, but would be nice to have.
Out of curiosity, does anyone know of any examples of Vorbis/Flac decoding in Python? I haven't been able to turn anything up besides an MP3 proof of concept.
