Unfortunately it seems like AVBin is currently unmaintained. There is a bit 
more information in this open issue: 
https://bitbucket.org/pyglet/pyglet/issues/94/ibavbin-dev-libavbin0-have-been-dropped

Luckily, wav files are all I need at the moment for my own projects, but 
there certainly is a need for compressed audio support at the least. I 
would love to see a pure python ogg or flac decoder added to pyglet at some 
point. It would be pretty slow, but should be perfectly useable for static 
sources. That still wouldn't cover the video support that AVBin provides, 
however.
