I did look into this but didn't really do anything about it. It 
is/was/possible to do something with avbin. i.e. make another build/bundle 
it with pyglet. I think the idea of avbin was to insulate the ptyhon api 
from ffmpeg changes, but avbin isn't exactly a big package... so I can't 
really see why it exists.

futhermore, it creates a lot of hasle because you have to build it for N 
platforms. 

I have the notion that avbin should go away, and that a python wrapper be 
written instead, but also also vorbis / theora should be supported. In this 
way you can use either BSD or lgpl code at your discretion.

Of course this is me saying it, not actually doing it, and the saying it 
bit is easy... I don't currently use pyglet, but I will have another look 
at it.
