Hi Alexander,
I think everyone would love to be able to exchange complex data
structures between python and R, but doing so poses some technological
barriers that are unlikely to be solved any time soon.
Now the problem of exchanging simpler datastructures, tables, arrays
etc has been already solved in packages such as rpy.
