I think we need to distinguish two user groups: users of Pygr's standard classes; vs. developers who want to extend Pygr's internals. Both are important. Experience has shown that a package release (let's call it Alpha) is crucial for getting feedback from normal users, because installing from git source is only for experts. So far we've been living in gitopia, and as a result are focusing more and more on internals and code extensibility (issues 34, 40 and 44 are good examples of that), because "regular users" are mostly not represented in our discussions. The only way we can get feedback from normal users is to give them a package release that's easy to install. I think the sooner we start to get that feedback, the better. I'm not sure that expert/internals issues like the new discussion of 34, 40, 44 are relevant reasons to delay seeking feedback from regular users. -- Chris --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "pygr-dev" group.
