Hi folks, I took advantage of a plane flight to write up a detailed 'annotations' tutorial that will be most of the scalability tutorial. I don't have much explanatory text yet, but it is a doctest that properly runs, and it shows how to construct AnnotationDBs & map the annotations onto sequence.
Here it is: http://lyorn.idyll.org/~t/transfer/doc_alignments/tutorials/annotation2.html Off-the-cuff comments solicited... anything else I should definitely cover in the way of code examples? (The scalability issues become clear when one considers pickling an entire dict, vs using a shelf, vs using a SQL db -- so I will just add discussion, not new code, for that.) cheers, --titus -- C.
