Current status of the upcoming 5.0 version:
I have completed everything that was on the roadmap for 5.0, all test
pass in many configurations, also added tox and Travis files so these
tests can be automated. Here is a list of all the tickets:
http://trac.vex.net:8000/pgtracker/milestone/5.0
The changelog is here:
http://trac.vex.net:8000/pgtracker/browser/trunk/docs/contents/changelog.rst
The docs already cover all of the new features.
Also created a mirror on GitHub to make it easier for users to send pull
requests or create issues. It also serves as the source for automated
tests with Travis CI and ReadTheDocs:
https://travis-ci.org/Cito/pygresql/
http://pygresql.readthedocs.org/en/latest/
ReadTheDocs has the advantage that it can provide several versions of
the docs (currently: latest and 4.x).
Our pygresql.org server, Trac and SVN will continue to be the central
authorative source for PyGreSQL of course.
So from my side everything is ready to publish and announce a beta
version of Pygres 5.0.
