Thanks for the feedback. I have now also added a regression test that can also serve as a demonstration of the problem.

Before releasing PyGres we should make sure that everything works properly with Py 3.8 as well which will be released in 11 days,
and PostgreSQL 12 which should be released today.

Just did some testing with Py 3.8, everything looks good except there is a deprecation warning that needs attention (https://bugs.python.org/issue36381). Will try to fix it this week as well.
