Sounds like an issue in DruidPageStandard, since expansion and fill is
controlled by the container, not by the child.

No, if append_item doesn't help you I think you're probably right. Then
again, I find it odd that no other widgets ran into this problem
before.. are you sure you're not doing anything undocumented <wink>?
