So I'm wondering: is pyinstaller included in any of the major
distributions?
I'm not aware of that.
If not so, I would propose setting a a packaging project at Open Build
Service (build.suse.org). This would allow building packages for
several
distributions, both .rpm and .deb.
Do you think it could be beneficial to provide .rpm or .deb packages?
Are you willing to start with it?
Regards
Martin
Just in case anybody is interested in creating and maintaining packages
for Linux distros, openSuSe provides a website which creates packages
for different distros starting from what I think is a spec file for RPMs
( http://en.opensuse.org/Build_Service/cross_distribution_package_how_to ).
