There is no package in macports which would install libcups. IMHO there
no reason for that when there is already default libcups on mac with
stable API.
So all libraries from macports requiring libcups depend on the system
one (from /usr/lib).
Are you sure? Last time I checked, MacPorts installed everything it
needs, ie. dependencies, common stuff like perl (and even its own GCC)
etc. in /opt/local. Why should this be different for libcups?
