The PyInstaller manual describes the "--ascii" option as:

"Do not include Python module codecs and other Unicode support. The default
is to include them if available, whether the script imports them or not."

If a script does not import Unicode support, why is the default behaviour
to include it anyway? I presume there is some benefit - perhaps a situation
in which not including it could cause a problem?
