Good morning

ok a few notes to make here

Actually looking at the code you linked, in the case of PyInstaller it
would redirect it at the PyInstaller executable. So you could probably
implement some sort of handling.

Please appreciate my background when asking this.

I started in machinecode/assembler and have migrated over the years (35 of them) to where i now mostly do python

I understand C programming but not in a windows environment (i am an isp that runs FreeBSD servers etc)

python exe even when run from scheduler is a crap shoot.

up to windows ten this works

windows 11 / Server 2019 (based on windows ten) / Server 2022 both pyinstaller exe and pyton from command prompt service installs and with pyinstaller will not start and with straight python service starts but fails execution

I have to run as a system user to execute the rasdialer as when people log in and out the system will drop the connection when it is attached as a user.

I am starting to think some security issues, updates whatever

Any ideas for both issues,

running a service (ie modifying python code as suggested)

and/or am i fighting a security issue.

Ideas please ??

Happy Wednesday !!!
Thanks - paul

is assuming that your application contains the python.exe entrypoint which isn’t
possible with PyInstaller. This isn’t going to work I’m afraid.
