ok, there is still a bug which causes XMLHttpRequest to go ballistic - other than that, amazingly, incredibly, it works. additional bugs: yes, KitchenSink still causes a "hang" just as it always did when a GTK popup is displayed, but the smaller examples like Mail and Helloworld are fine. well.... f*** me backwards with a rubber spoon, XMLHttpRequest also works. i added in the 5-arg function call version of XMLHttpRequest.open (final args True, '','') and it worked. that just leaves SVG Canvas 2D Image as the only thing not working. dang. well, for those people not familiar with how to build debian packages, grab the above, do "apt-get build-dep sugar-hulahop" then cd into the directory after unpacking and then do "dpkg-buildpackage -rfakeroot -nc" followed by cd .. and dpkg -i sugar-hulahop-blabblah.deb l.
