i've hinted at "X" but they haven't listened to or acknowledged Y and Z yet.

several people have pointed out "X" but until they acknowledge Y and
Z there's no point continuing on to discuss "X".

as Y and Z aren't true, there _is_ no roadblock to discussing X. but
there's nothing but complete silence. i don't know if it's because
they were pissed off at being told that Y and Z aren't true or other
reason.

i'd _love_ to discuss X - but they *have* to actually engage in
discussions and recognise that i know a bit about this stuff in areas
that they don't know about. even though it's their own software.

that's where it gets a bit metaphysical.
