Hello all,

I've checked and installed Pykaraoke this weekend. I installed it in home's Ubuntu box, and had only a small problem with the wx version I have solved by following the tip posted on the mailing list at:

http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg00217.html

That said, I tried to look for more information & features for MID playback. There's little to no documentation. I am under the impression that the primary format for Karaoke machines in most of the world is CD+G; here in Brazil, MIDI-based karaoke is very popular, mainly due to the popularity of a cheap Karaoke player that has been marketed here for the past ~10 years by a local company. It's relatively easy to find free MID/KAR files in local sites.

I am interested in knowing the state of MID/KAR support in PyKaraoke. MID files make it easy to support pitch & tempo adjustments; also, I would like to have the ability to mute a few instruments to play along with my guitar. Depending on the quality of the track, it's a real pleasure to play with a bass & drums accompaniment. Any pointers in this direction - like old posts or any documentation - will be highly appreciated.
