There is one small problem: the database connection which I use seems to be somewhat broken from the new thread context: I get this exception:

     InvalidRequestError: Could not locate any Engine bound to mapper 'Mapper|FileMirror|files_mirrors'

I'm sure there's a cheesy way to fix this I'll figure out tomorrow...
