Fellow earthicans...

I have still the writing of my "Beginning Pylons" article on my todo
list somewhere in the upper third. :) However recent project work and my
family kept me from really putting any work into it.

However I had a lazier idea a while ago which was creating a couple of
screencasts about Pylons. Possible subjects:

- What is Pylons?
- Is Pylons for me?
- Installing Pylons / Hello World
- Controller and Actions
- Templates
- Form handling
- Database access
- Authentication
- Tips & Tricks

Not sure whether screencasts are really less work than writing huge
articles. But since the Apress book is supposed to be released in the
next months anyway perhaps that keeps me from finally finishing my
article.

As english isn't my native language I considered creating the
screencasts in german instead. But I don't really know many people would
benefit from that. Is there even need for introductory screencasts
instead of a written article? Would it be better to use a
less-than-perfect spoken english screencast to reach a larger audience
than using a clearer german screencast? Or is the whole thing not worth
the time to put into it? I have never before done any serious
screencasts (e.g. I wouldn't even know how to capture my Debian screen
properly). So your ideas are welcome.

Kindly
 Christoph (and his stupid ideas)
