But named virtual hosts won't work > if you're using HTTPS. > again it all depends on your apache installation. the way my webhosting has this setup makes each subdomain a totally different application apache-wise, so you can basically mount one app in a.example.com another in b.example.com just like you will do with normal www.example.com/a and www.example.com/b
